It's Thanksgiving Day!!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving! Although I enjoy spending the holidays with my family, I don't think that the holidays are the only time to give thanks or celebrate life and who's in it. I believe that you should be thankful every day for what you have and the one's you love. Every day should be a day of giving and generosity, every season you should help the less fortunate and the homeless. So if you have family and friends that you truly cherish. I urge you to make time every day or at least every week to make a phone call and say, "Hey, I love you guys." Don't miss a moment to let the people you care about know that you care. Because, it doesn't matter who you are, what you do, or how you live. We all end up in the same place. A pine box, six feet down. And, you never know when it's your time, and even less so when it's someone you loves time. Also, I urge you to make time to give to the less fortunate and homeless year round. They don't just need your help during the holidays, they need it in the spring, summer, and fall too.

  1. I couldn't agree more, Jeff. In the daily chaos that is life, too many of us lose sight of the good things in life, and all that we have to be thankful for.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

  2. Jeff,
I know first hand about lossing my true love. What you said here is what I tell others all the time. Yes, it cracks me up how some think at holiday time is the only time they should help the needy. But look at how many are losing their jobs, homes & now their world is upside down. Sure they never thought they would be in that boat. Well, you know people can help others even if they don't have alot of money too.
The best things in life are those that don't cost anything!

  3. Yup, it costs nothing to volunteer at your local soup kitchen, or to take your old clothing or clothes that don't fit to the homeless instead of trashing them. Same for blakets, extra lumber, kids old mattresses, just damn near anything you have laying around the house. And, then you hear, I can't afford the gas. Be happy you have a car to put gas in, a roof to shed rain and snow from your head. And, you never run out of sneaker power.
