Well, It's A New Year. Let's Go Green.

Everybody seems to be talking about how beneficial electric and hybrid cars are for the environment, now I can't argue that the cars do let off less emissions and pollutants, in and of themselves.

Did you know that about 54% of the nations electricity comes from coal fired electric plants. Now, it stands to figure that if we had more solar, hydroelectric, and wind powered plants in North America, these numbers would be a lot different. I'm just going to deal with carbon dioxide (CO2) for this little comparison, the other pollutants you find in both vehicle and power emissions are approximately the same percentages, just in far smaller numbers. The average car driven approximately 12,000 miles a year will put off about 8,700 pounds of CO2. On average CO2 emissions from electric production is 8.4+ tons per person. People that is all the power production combined, coal fired, natural gas fired, oil fired, hydroelectric, solar, and wind power combined. That was figured based on 2.6+ billion tons of CO2 put off per year that the EPA admits to, divided by the population of the United States of America (including every man, woman, and child) per the U.S. Census Bureau of 312+ million people. Now, I'm not a math professor, but my math shows that the average car puts out about 4.3 tons of CO2 a year, where as as I mention earlier all electric power averages out to about 8.4 tons per person a year, nearly twice as much. Now, granted coal fired only accounts for about 54% of all electric produced, if the other 46% was totally green and renewable electric that would still be an average of about 4.5 tons of CO2 from electric, still more that your average car produces. Also, according to the EPA, a compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle reduces carbon monoxide emissions 90%-97, reduces carbon dioxide emissions 25%, reduces nitrogen oxide emissions 35%-60%, potentially reduces non-methane hydrocarbon emissions 50%-75%, emits fewer toxic and carcinogenic pollutants, emits little or no particulate matter, eliminates evaporative emissions. Personally I'm all for CNG vehicles. Last I checked, I could get my truck converted to dual fuel (gas/CNG) for about $3,000, but when I can fill up for about $1.40 per equivalent gallon, it'll come out in the wash. And, the price of the conversion may have come down since I last checked. Now, for you self righteous Prius Owners, well... you could have had a V8.

Well, I'm done talking about it, just wanted to put a little food for thought out there, just a little FYI.

After All

Well, after talking, debating, sulking, thinking, and a lot of beer and cigars. The wife and I have decided to give it another go. Things are still pretty rough, words were said, keys were thrown, whiskey was drank, and midgets tortured. But, as is my belief to leave the past the past, I will be letting that sleeping dog lie. And, I would like to give thanks to everybody that responded to my last post, your comments are always much appreciated and welcomed.

We got settled in at our new place. Cheaper rent, more land, and three free horses. Nothing to bitch about there at all. I plan on getting some pics of the place and horses up a bit later. But, for now, I have to go fight some dogs to see what I have to do to keep them in the fence.

Well Hell.

Well, it looks like I'm headed for another on of them de-vorcies. So, things are going to get a bit less... umm... restricted around here. I hope that everybody had a wonderful holiday weekend, and that the rest of the holidays go just as well.

Till later, after some sleep.

WalMart' What's Wrong Here?

I mean, seriously!?
This is the sink in my local WalMart. The whole bathroom is "touchless". From the toilets, to the towel dispenser, you don't have to touch anything when using this bathroom, except....
I was using this exact basin to wash my hands, and the whole time, my knuckels and the back of my hand were rubbing the bottom of the basin. While I was washing all the germs I didn't get off.

I mean the whole idea of the touchless faucet is great. No handles to mess with, with no telling who's germs are residing on them. And, no telling what else is usually on them. Hell, I'm sure Dr. Oz could find something on them that will cause cancer and kill you in the next three days. UNLESS, you scour them with alcohol and vinegar. Then, he'll give you five days to live. I can't stand Dr. Oz, but that's a subject for another day. They also have the touchless paper towel dispensers, and hand driers, and those are ok and work perfectly fine. Not so much the faucets. First off, you have to put your hands under the sensor and find the sweet spot to get it to turn on. See the black square on the front of there? That's the sensor, and guess where the water comes from and you have to put your hands? Under the little half moon piece that the sensor in on the front of. And, then when you go to lather your hands, you lose it and have to find it again. They put out three streams of water that's barely enough to get a finger wet, so that takes you ten minutes to rinse the soap off. But, what's even worse is the distance from the faucet from the fucking bottom of the basin. You have maybe five, six inches (approximately 12, 17 cm for you metric folks) of clearance between them. And, if you're of any size at all, such as myself, your damn hands rub the bottom of the damn basin while your washing and rinsing your hands. So, you're sitting here rinsing your hands in a catch tub of bacteria, viriuses, germs, and disease. But, it's a touchless faucet so it's more sanitary. Now, I'm not exactly a germaphobe, hell I don't even really give a shit, I'll eat a side of cow off the fucking ground, raw and not even think twice about it. The way I look at it is my body, white blood cells, and immune system need a work out to stay tuned up like they should. Yes, I do wash my hands regularly when I preparing food. But, other than that fuck it, unless they're just nasty. But, that's not why I mention the WalMart sinks, it's the principle and idea of it. Just the sheer irony of the situation. They want to be a sterile as possible, using touchless faucets, towel dispensers, hand dryers, toilets, and urinals. But, in the end, after not touching all that shit, you have to set your hands in the bottom of the sink to wash all the germs you didn't get by not touching anything.
Humm, wonder where all the washed off germs go...before they go down the drain?

Well I'll Be.... A Scentsy Man This Weekend

Well, we got two events booked this weekend to sell this Scentsy stuff. I like the stuff personally, use it myself, wouldn't sell it if I didn't like it and use it. And, I'll start loving it when I can retire by selling it. But, till then, it's strictly a like relationship. It's a good product, and very safe, for those of you that have little fingers running around. I actually stuck my finger in the melted wax, while the warmer was on, to see how hot it was. (We're sitting here telling people that their kid could stick their finger in the melted wax and it wouldn't burn them, and I wanted to make sure I wasn't lying to them.) Yea, it was pretty warm, almost hot, but no where near burning temperature. But, I digress. Back to the double booking, my wife is going to be at the 27th Annual Firefighters Chili Cook Off and Car and Bike Show at the Grady County Oklahoma Fair Grounds, (I cheated a little bit, I had to take a few pictures of the cars that were already in the building). And, I will be across town at The Reding Farm Corn Maize. Yea, momma gets to sample a hundred or so batches of chili for three bucks, but me... I get to eat some smoked brisket and sip some free samples from local wineries. And, for my viewing pleasure, I have the perfect view of the playground to watch the little carpet sharks play. And, I get to sit back and reminisce on how my little (hells) angels used to be so innocent and care free and less...."Daddy I need."  Also, a friend of mine will be joining me, so I won't be left to my own devices on it, kinda. He's thinking about joining up and selling the stuff himself, so I get to show him how it's done, and what kind of potential there is in this.

Keepin' It Sweet

Yes! Here it is! Five inches of Red Velvet goodness, and as you may suspect, yes there is another piece of cookie under all that delectable sugary sour cream icing oozing out of the sides.

This and other delicious baked goodness can be had at Keepin' It Sweet here in the grand city of Chickasha, Oklahoma. My other favorites are the Mint Chocolate Chip cupcake, and the Chocolate cupcake with peanut butter icing. Both with three inches of icing on top. This is the stuff that'll make you fat just by looking at a picture. Maybe that's why my wife calls me her honeypotamus. lol

She really calls me her honeypottedness, I changed it around a bit. :)

A Tout Le Monde

"à tout le monde, à tous mes amis, je vous aime, je dois partir" translated to English is respectively: "To everyone, to all my friends, I love you, I must leave

R.I.P. Brother

Four years ago this world lost a wonderful human being. Not only was he a fellow roughneck, he was a comrade, a friend, and a brother to those who knew him well. He'd give you the shirt off his back, shoes off his feet, and the pants off his ass if you need them. Worked harder than any three men and stronger than an ox. Damon Erick Figgeroa left this world a better place because he made an impact on those he met and more so those whom he befriended. He will be forever missed yet never forgotten. Rest in peace brother, see ya on the flip side of this life.

Fit 2 Fat 2 Fit

Drew Manning is a personal trainer who has set out to gain about fifty or sixty pounds in six months and then lose it again, for the first time. I came across this story on Yahoo's home page. He has always been into staying fit and healthy, and became a certified personal trainer after college. And, it seems that he has done very well for himself. He stood at six foot two and a shade over a hundred and ninety pounds, with damn near eight pack abs, when he started this journey. At the time of his Yahoo interview he had about a month left before he went back to eating healthy and exercising, and has thus far gained seventy pounds, ten more than his projected weight gain. He decided to gain the extra weight to see for him self just how hard it is to be fat and to lose the weight and get in shape. He related the food cravings for some foods as akin to an addiction. I would like you to check out his Yahoo interview and his Fit 2 Fat 2 Fit website.

Guud Music.

While playing around on the internet. Well, while job hunting and playing some Youtube music videos in the background. I came across a few bands that I've never heard of and really enjoyed. So, being the generous peroson that I am, I am gong to share some of these with you. Hope you enjoy. This first song Old Man by Redlight Kings I've heard on the radio and just loved, but never heard who it was, nor the name of the song, but I had a good guess on that, lol. I ran across it on accident today, added an upbeat to the day.

Ok, so the last two videos aren't exactly new finds for me. Anti-Mortem is from my home town of Chickasha, Oklahoma, I invite you to check 'em out on their Facebook page. So, this was kinda an Oklahomas Own post also. XD

Now Here's A Good Message

While perusing through YouTube for another video blog I'm working on, I came across this video by Rise Against and the message is phenomenal. It relates to an earlier blog on bullying that I wrote a while back. It's just sad how kids just pick on others to make themselves feel better, even if it's for just a little while. Which in turn brings about drug abuse later because they get the same high with much less effort, at first anyway. And, what's sad is that it is beginning to be displayed by adults more and more. Use to it was just keeping up with the Joneses kind of thing, who has the bigger, better, badder stuff. Now, it's gotten to where grown ass men and women are fighting over stupid shit like a baby doll for their kid. Or, they gang up on some poor soul and beat the shit out of him because he's a gay, or black, or wears a different brand of shoes. Shouting fattot and fairy, nigger and coon, hillbilly and trash. It's fucking ridiculous, and needs to stop. And, when it's gone too damn far these people end up dead. Either from being beat to death, plain ass murdered, or from suicide, like the kids in this video almost do.

It's October, Save The Boobies Month!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and you can see it all over the place. Most major sports are wearing something pink on the field, you see television ads all over the place. You can't go to the store without seeing someone wearing a pink ribbon on their lapel. I fully support this whole campaign, although I will not be wearing a pink ribbon or pink tee shirt proclaiming the fact, I have made a couple of changes to my online homes to show the support.

Kids These Days!

While out back building a fence for our over sized dogs, meaning horses. Our two girls had their puppies out "training" (playing with) them. I was out there for about a hour before I actually caught what they were saying. I had to laugh when I realized what they were trying to get the puppies to understand. They were trying the standard commands like sit, stay, heel, etc... The funny part was when the puppies didn't do what they were told or when they did something they weren't supposed to. They were telling these dogs, "I told you not to go over there." "Get back here now." "Get over here, insert puppy name." and the puppies would just look at them and give them that confused puppy dog look. And, when they didn't come to them right when they were told, one of them started counting. And, not the normal count to three or a regular number like five or ten. She started counting to seven. Why seven? I'm not really sure, I guess dogs don't get three or five, but by God they know you're serious when you hit seven. And, they were talking to the puppies like they could understand what they were saying just like you or I would. All I could do was laugh.

Ride Baby Ride

For all who Know Motorcycle Riders ...... I saw you hug your purse closer to you in the grocery store line. But you didn't see me put an extra $10.00 in the collection plate last Sunday. I saw you pull your child closer when we passed each other on the sidewalk. But you didn't see me playing Santa at the local mall. I saw you change your mind about going into the restaurant. But you didn't see me,... attending a meeting to raise more money for the hurricane relief. I saw you roll up your window and shake your head when I drove by. But you didn't see me, driving behind you when you flicked your cigarette butt out the car window. I saw you frown at me when I smiled at your children. But you didn't see me when I took time off from work to run toys to the homeless. I saw you stare at my long hair. But you didn't see me and my friends cut ten inches off for Locks of Love. I saw you roll your eyes at our leather coats and gloves. But you didn't see me and my brothers donate our old coats and gloves to those that had none. I saw you look in fright at my tattoos. But you didn't see me cry as my children where born and have their name written over and in my heart. I saw you change lanes while rushing off to go somewhere. But you didn't see me going home to be with my family. I saw you complain about how loud and noisy our bikes can be. But you didn't see me when you were changing the CD and drifted into my lane. I saw you yelling at your kids in the car. But you didn't see me pat my child's hands, knowing he was safe behind me. I saw you reading the map as you drove down the road. But you didn't see me squeeze my wife's leg when she told me to take the next turn. I saw you race down the road in the rain. But you didn't see me get soaked to the skin so my son could have the car to go on his date. I saw you run the yellow light just to save a few minutes of time. But, you didn't see me trying to turn right. I saw you cut me off because you needed to be in the lane I was in. But you didn't see me leave the road. I saw you waiting impatiently for my friends to pass. But you didn't see me. I wasn't there. I saw you go home to your family. But you didn't see me. Because I died that day you cut me off. I was just a biker. A person with friends and a family. But, you didn't see me. Repost this around in hopes that people will understand the biker community. If you don't repost this, It sucks to be you. I hope you NEVER loose someone that rides
