Auntie Em, Auntie Em.

Tornado forming on the south end of Chickasha

Well, we are in nader alley here in Central Oklahoma. Had a nice little twister visit us Tuesday afternoon. It went about a mile Northwest of my house, the horses didn't care. Neither did the dogs. Momma and the girls were a bit worried, but no freak outs, heart attacks, or mental breakdowns. We didn't get any damage at the house or our neighbourhood. Although, I do wish I had had a little plastic pool, a lawn chair and a nice cold Michelob. But, momma wouldn't have let me sit outside and watch it though.

Tornado just Nortwest of my home

Also, this video was forwarded to me by our neighbours. A friend of theirs took it and posted it on Facebook.

Quotes 5-24-2011

This is how you should contemplate. The world is an idea in the mind to which the word world has been attached. Beyond this idea is the mystery of beingness. But it's not possible to free people from their attachment to the idea--to that which blinds them to the reality--without appropriate methods. So you should tread the path of perfect giving, of patience, energy, meditation, and wisdom. Yet while following these activities, you should remain aware that the world is illusory. It is for the sake of those who do not know that you engage in dynamic and vigorous work and also in meditation and one-pointed attention. Understanding that without wisdom you can do nothing for others, you remain in the perfection of wisdom, which is the awareness that what you are doing is both essential and illusory.
- Prajnaparamita

Cherishing children is the mark of a civilized society.
- Joan Ganz Cooney

When you cannot love or hate any more, then where is the charm of life?
- Arthur Schnitzler, "Professor Bernhardi"

- Mark Twain

Standing or walking, sitting or lying down, during all these waking hours, let him establish mindfulness of good will, which men call the highest state!
- Buddha

Tough times never last, tough people do.
- Robert Schuller

But he who is truly wise always sees the absolute Self. Celebrated, he is not delighted. Spurned, he is not angry. Pure of heart, he watches his own actions as if they were anothers. How can praise or blame disturb him?
- Ashtavakra Gita 3:9-10

Build The Fence...

Well, building a fence is a hell of a way to learn why skill triumphs knowledge any day.  I was building a fence for our newly acquired puppies, meaning horses. And, I was building this fence that I got started on, and that was about all I got done before I had to go back to work. So, we had some friends come over while I was away at work and finish it for me, meaning tear it down and completely rebuild it... correctly. I have never built a fence really, I don't count the chain link when I was living in town a few years ago. It turned out straight as a river and level as a mountain range. But, it served it's purpose and that's all I really cared for anyway. But, this time I wanted something nice that I was going to leave up for a day or two at least. Well, I spent a week and a half on this damn fence, and managed to not really get much of shit done on it. I was pretty much by myself on it, had a friend come help out for a couple of days, and momma help out when she could. But, other than that I was going solo on it. So, I'm putting along on this fence thinking I'm doing pretty decent. Not really good or excellent, but not really bad either. I get the H posts up, the T posts driven, and a strand of wire hung. Not forgetting, laying out the boundaries, and figuring out where the hell my property lines are took a day and a half. And, now our neighbour is having it surveyed to make sure our fence is not on his property. I'm sitting here thinking, if that fence line you already have up isn't your property line, the why the fuck did you put it there??? Well, the fence is supposed to be our property line anyway, and I'm ten foot off it. But, back to the rail. Anyway, I go to work and am out of town for the next seven days, my friends come over and help my wife finish the fence, read redo the fence. And, in one day the four of them to fix all my fuck ups, I would go into more detail but I don't have the time, and you'd get bored. And, basically build this damn fence. Which got me to thinking, that even though I have the basic knowledge, I don't really have the skill to be building fences. Childhood memories and YouTube will only get you so damn far. So, as I'm sitting here looking at my doggies and their new fenced in home, noticing how much shit they did that I had forgot needed to be done, I just have to say thanks and I just need to leave the post hole diggers to the professionals and fence artists.

At A Loss...

I'm actually a very proud and patriotic person. I love my country, and fully support our men and women who fight and give their lives to defend our freedom. Given the chance I would do the same. Before I get any bullshit over the whole well you had your chance at eighteen, I'll say this. I went to enlist in the Navy, wanted to become a SEAL, but I have a problem with my hip that kept me out. As soon as the recruiter found out what it was, he told me that I would be more of a risk than an asset to the nations military, and given my condidtion none of the branches would be able to accept me. But, trust me, given the chance, I'll sit on my back porch and pick 'em off as they run if the need ever arises. And, I also have strong feeling toward the Confederate States of America, may they rest peacefully, and long live their souls. And, that has absoultly nothing to do with slavery or racism. I believe that every man and women should have TRULY  egual rights and privledges. You should be rewarded and punished in life for your deeds not the color of your skin or they kind of reproductive organs between your legs. I do not believe that I should get a job over you because I'm white, nor should you get it over me because your black, and our company has to fill their quota. Same with women, you shouldn't get that promotion because you have a vagina and I don't, I don't care how you used it to get the job. The way I see it, is if you can do the work you should get the job, if you can't do the work, than get to kickin rocks and find something else.

But, our government doesn't want things this way, they want to keep racism alive and sexism alive, and poorism and fatism and gingerism, and all the other isms alive because it's big money for them. It gives them a chance to give themselves a tax free bonus written into the bill that provides funds to study the reasons for hate crimes against raddishes. They want you to fear Usama bin Laden, they want you to fear a plane hijacking, they want you to rely on them so they can keep their fucking jobs. If we don't rely on the government, they would not have their jobs. If the congress men relied on us to vote them in because of how well they do with what they have to work with, they would be changed out a whole lot more often. Our government wants us to live under their unhindered and utterly stupid rule. This had become a dictatorship with the camoflauge of a democracy. Oh, I can't take a bottle of Suave shampoo on a plane for my own safety and the safety of others??? What the fuck??? Like a plane getting hijacked happens daily, fuck off. I refuse to fly now a days. Not that I flew much in the first place. But, still if I ever decide to travel to Europe or overseas, I'll either take a boat or drive to fucking Mexico or Canada, and take a flight from there. I bet this whole Air Marshall this is something that the government has wanted to do since the sixties or seventies, they just didn't have a good enough damn excuse. And, I'm not even going on about the pussies on the flights that actually hit the World Trade Center and Pentagon. But, the one's that went down fighting in Pennsylvania, hell ya they're in my prayers every fucking night. This country's going to shit and we're letting it, we're just setting everything up for another Hitler, Stalin, Hussein, or bin Laden to come in and take over, except this time the son of a bitch will be elected our fucking President.
