Aliens Among Us?!

I watch a lot of History Channel and stuff of the like. They have been playing a series called Ancient Aliens quite a bit here lately, I've watched most of them. And, they present a theroy that aliens helped move our civilazation into the stone age and to evolve into what we are now. They cite the Nazca Lines, Stonehenge, The Easter Island Monoliths, The Egyptian, Aztec, Myan, and Incan Pyramids, Crop Circles, and other stuff like that, as signals from both us and aliens to alien pilots. And, as guides for us humans to show where in the sky they came from. They also think that these aliens are the basis of our world religions all through history, from Ra to God. And, that the Angels described in The Bible were infact alien visitors. Now, I'm not saying whether they're right or wrong, thus far it's just a theroy even if they think they're right. Their "proof" if put in a murder context would give speculation of the accused, but not a conviction. They have a lot of interesting evidence, and I do believe that it is in fact possible, and maybe even highly likely, and it still wouldn't be contrary to The Bible or the core beliefs of Christianinty. Just like I don't believe that sicence disproves the existance of a creator. I believe that with enough knowledge of science and religion, that we can and possibly will come to learn that both camps of thought are true to the fullest extent. I'm not saying that the aliens are Gods or that they created us, but it's possible that whoever created us also created them and that they were sent here by our God to help us along and to keep an eye on us.

  1. Aliens ... really?
Public TV had a show on the other day on how they have figured out how the people of Stonehenge were able to move and place those stones.
The History Channel is trying to boost ratings and entertain. The History Channel producers are not giving credit that a human - after getting tired of sitting around doing nothing for several years staring at these large stones, can figure out how to move them from one place to another.
If humans are still here in 500 years - will that group of people find your oil rigging equipment and come up with a theory that large mosquito like alien ships that were sucking the Earth's natural resources to take back to their planet...?
I think we have just written a plot for a blockbuster movie!!! :)

  2. Conspiracy theories have probably abounded for centuries, and will probably remain with us to the end of time.

I think that religion and science are quite capable of coexisiting and complimenting one another. It just depends on the individuals involved.

  3. Yup, Kipp that was the theroy. Now, they're not putting it out as fact, just speculation. Nor was I trying to pass it off as that either. I watched a show a few years back where some college kids built a small pyramid to scale of The Great Pyramid with the tools that they knew were available at the time. They showed how it could have been done.

Very true BR, they have found proof that there was a common belief that the historical Jesus only fulfilled the prophecies set fourth in the Bible of the time because he knew what was expected.

I believe that science and religion can and should co-exist and although aliens visiting thousands of years ago is a bit far fetched, it is still possible. I can't be arrogant enough to say that this is the only planet with intelligent life, much less life in general. And, we've been to the moon, which wasn't even a realistic dream a hundred years ago, and we've found remnants of life on Mars. Not all life has to be like us and breath oxygenated air, hell plants breath carbon dioxide, and fish breath oxygenated water. In my opinion, it's all specualtion untill we find a stone or papyrus' scroll that directly states what happened, we'll always have different opinions, and theorys about who, what, and how. And, yes Kipp, without our diagrams and documentation of what drilling rigs are used for, there is absoultly no telling what people will think they were used for in a few thousand years.
